Apparel Licensing Program

QTF will be moving to an Apparel Licensing Program in line with Touch Football Australia. This will mean that approved providers will receive a non-exclusive license to use the QTF Intellectual Property (IP) logos and the NRL QLD Touch Football brand on all apparel and team uniforms across QLD.

The intent of this program is to ensure that all teams that participate at QTF events or are representatives of the organisation are badged with the NRL QLD Touch Football brand. It is also aimed to protect the brand image of our sport, create a professional and consistent look and feel and control the use of ours and TFA’s IP.

Under the licensing program, a maximum of ten (10) apparel suppliers may receive a non-exclusive license to use QTF IP on apparel for a three (3) year term.

Placement of the logo on all apparel and team uniforms helps to promote QTF itself as well as the sport of Touch Football. When a member wears an article of clothing with the QTF logo it expresses their enthusiasm about being part of the sport and part of the organisation, but also reinforces the brand image and supports the organisations overall brand marketing efforts.

Through the licensing program, QTF maintains control over the brand image and how its portrayed (via the approval process and other contractual structures) and benefit from additional revenue that will allow for the organisation to expand on current and future development programs. A successful program could provide future business and partnership opportunities by building a stronger brand presence.

‘Request for License’ applications are now open and will close Friday 14 February. If you would like to submit an application, please download the ‘Request for License’ application form below and forward all relevant details to Rachael Stacey via rachael@qldtouch.com.au before February 14,  2020. Approved licensees will be announced late-February 2020.

The Official QTF Apparel Licensees will be the only organisations permitted to use QTF IP (logos) on apparel (team uniforms) at any level (park teams, affiliates/regions etc) from March 1, 2020. The QTF logo will be compulsory on all uniforms at the QLD Touch Football Junior State Cup (from 2021) and the QLD Touch Football State Cup (2020).

If you have any further questions on the licensing program, please contact to Rachael Stacey, Sponsorship and Projects Manager on (07) 3367 6253 or rachael@qldtouch.com.au.
