Queensland Touch Football (QTF) is a member organisation of Touch Football Australia and forms part of the strategic alliance with the National Rugby League. The sport is one of Queensland’s most popular participation sports, with over 135,000 participating annually across Queensland in Association and Schools competitions, from Thursday Island and Weipa to Rockhampton, Brisbane and Bilambil.

QTF governs six regions and 75 affiliated associations across the state and is responsible for the leadership and management of competitions, representative pathways, events, game development and participation.

Finance Officer, Brisbane (Part-Time)

Location: Milton, Brisbane

Reporting directly to the Business and Finance Manager, the Finance Officer will process the financial activities of Queensland Touch Football and its managed businesses.

The successful candidate will be responsible for accounts receivable and accounts payable, as well as various clerical and administrative functions, and will be pivotal in ensuring accurate financial records are maintained.

The Finance Officer will contribute to the overall success of Queensland Touch Football by effectively managing administrative, financial and management accounting services including records, information systems and administration.

The position will be a part time role, 15-20 hours per week and will be well suited to someone looking to work 3-4 short days.

Key Objectives

Manage accounts receivable and payables, including debt collection

Manage banking and report on financial projections (e.g. cash flow)

Reconcile monthly general ledger balances, invoices, and credit card statements

Maintain all financial records and files as per the company policies

Assist QTF and Regional Managers in setting and managing budgets

Identify and resolve invoicing issues, accounting discrepancies and other financial related issues.

Manage all bill payments and customer invoicing as per the deadlines

Streamline and document processes and procedures for improving operational efficiency of finance, administration, information technology systems, reporting and budgeting systems.

Support the annual financial audit processes through the preparation of standard reports as well as other custom reports as requested.

Oversight of all staff travel bookings, including reconciliation of all travel payments

Referee Coordinator, Palm Beach Touch Association, (Part-Time)

Location: Palm Beach, Gold Coast

The Referee Coordinator will lead the delivery in allocations, administration, communication, recruitment, training and retention of referees focusing on improving the quantity and quality of entry level referees for all Palm Beach Touch Association competitions and events.

The role will be pivotal in delivering best practice administration, quality competitions and exceptional customer experiences for our participants.

The role will be 22 hours part time including Monday Thursday and Friday (afternoon and evenings) and Wednesday (daytime).

Key Objectives

1. Support the operational delivery of referee allocations to all our Palm Beach competitions and events.

2. With lead referee coach, plan and develop pathways for upskilling referees, including mentoring and coaching.

3. Build strong relationships with the referee base and referee coaches.

4. Operate within the budgets and constraints set by Management.

5. Work collaboratively with QTF Management and Staff, and General Manager & PBT Competition Manager.

6. Ensure the facilities and resources are cared for appropriately.
