Queensland Touch Football (QTF) is a member organisation of Touch Football Australia and forms part of the strategic alliance with the National Rugby League. The sport is one of Queensland’s most popular participation sports, with over 135,000 participating annually across Queensland in Association and Schools competitions, from Thursday Island and Weipa to Rockhampton, Brisbane and Bilambil.

QTF governs six regions and 75 affiliated associations across the state and is responsible for the leadership and management of competitions, representative pathways, events, game development and participation.

Regional Administrator, Brisbane

Position Type: Full Time (Evening & Week-End Work required)

Brisbane Touch Football is the regional body for touch football in the metropolitan area of Brisbane. Membership includes 10 affiliates across the Brisbane region with a participation base of over 10,000 senior and junior participants.

Brisbane Touch Football region and staff operate under a Management Agreement with Queensland Touch Football and the Brisbane office is located at the QTF Office in Milton, Brisbane

The Regional Administrator is responsible for the administration and management of the region, working closely with the regional Board and local Affiliates, to lead the growth of touch football across the region.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordination of strategic planning and operational support for Affiliates leading to the development, expansion, and growth of touch football.
  • Coordination of best practice governance, compliance and W, H & S requirements for Affiliates and stakeholders.
  • Coordination of training for Affiliates and stakeholders on all aspects of best practice governance, competition delivery and Touch Football online systems.
  • Coordination of events administration and tournament logistics for representative pathways, programs, and teams.
  • Administrative support for Board/Committees to support strategic and operational priorities.
  • Monitor financials ensuring operations remain within budget requirements, including implementing financial procedures.

Essential Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an administration role, preferably senior level.
  • Strong computer and IT skills including experience in database management
  • Excellent administrative skills and ability to multitask and thrive in fast-paced environment
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience in team logistics and/or team management experience.
  • Understanding of social media and marketing tools and platforms.
  • Working with Children (Blue Card)

Operations Manager – North Queensland

The North Queensland region consists of 22 Affiliate Associations, with a participation base of 10,000+ registered members.

North Queensland region and staff operate under a Management Agreement with Queensland Touch Football and are responsible for the regional administration and management of competitions, representative pathways, events, and participation.

The Operations Manager is responsible for the administration and management of the region, working closely with the regional Board and local Affiliates, to lead the growth of touch football across the region.

This role manages all associated activities of the region, including representative teams and tournaments, support event delivery, and drive board, affiliate and member communications.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordination of strategic planning and operational support for Affiliates leading to the development, expansion, and growth of touch football.
  • Coordination of best practice governance, compliance and W, H & S requirements for Affiliates and stakeholders.
  • Coordination of training for Affiliates and stakeholders on all aspects of best practice governance, competition delivery and Touch Football online systems.
  • Coordination of events administration and tournament logistics for representative pathways, programs, and teams.

Business Development Coordinator 

Status: Applications Open

Location: Brisbane

Position Type: Casual (Approx. 12.5 Hours a Week)

The Business Development Coordinator will be responsible for engaging with team managers & participants of the Premier City Touch (PCT) Community to ensure an enjoyable customer experience and to ensure participation & team growth across all venues.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing assistance to team managers during the registration & payment process
  • Engaging with VOs and the greater PCT operational team,
  • Ensuring PCT competitions continue to provide a high-level experience for all participants; and
  • Identifying avenues to retain and engage new teams to the competition.

This role is KPI driven and will be required to meet seasonal targets throughout the year.  Due to the style of work, the role will be required to work outside normal business hours to attend venues during competition nights.

Required Skills: 

  • Must hold a current Driver’s Licence & must hold or be eligible to hold a Blue Card
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid Certificates
  • Business Development & or Account Management experience
  • Excellent communication skills supported by strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience in membership support
  • Attention to detail & timeline focused
