Women Leaders in Touch Football

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The QTF Women Leaders in Touch Football program, funded by the Queensland Government’s Active Women and Girls Grant, gives QTF an opportunity to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to advance as leaders within their affiliate, region and state.

The program will see 14 females from across the state take part in a leadership workshop in person and online across 6 weeks, empowering them to inspire young females in their respective regions.

Program Objectives

• To encourage, support and enable females to fill roles in leadership across the sport of Touch Football
• Attract, develop and retain women within leadership positions in sport, and create an environment in which everyone is valued and can thrive

The QTF Women Leaders in Touch Football Program covers:

14 women from across Queensland will take part in face-to-face and online Leadership Work Shops, focusing on leadership, development, capabilities and principles & creating positive cultures.

7 May 2024 – QTF Office, 83 Castlemaine Street, Milton 4064 (9am-4pm)
14 May 2024 – Online (6-7:45pm)
21 May 2024 – Online (6-7:45pm)
28 May 2024 – Online (6-7:45pm)
4 June 2024 – Online (6-7:45pm)
Program wrap up, 16 July 2024 Online (6-7:45pm)

Who can apply?

Members are eligible to apply as a participant if they meet the following criteria:

• Be minimum of 18 years of age at the time of the program;
• Be a current financial member of a Queensland touch football Affiliate;
• Hold a ‘Working with Children’ Blue Card or Exemption Card;
• Have demonstrated an eagerness to provide leadership within their local touch football environment;
• Demonstrate positive behaviours and an alignment to Queensland Touch Football’s values.

How much will it cost?

Thanks to the Queensland Government’s Active Women and Girls Grant funding, there is no cost for participants in the 2024 QTF Women Leaders in Touch Football program.

Workshop Participant Selection Guidelines:

• Following the close of participant applications all Affiliates will be sent a list of their participant applicants to endorse, and are asked to preference nominations.
• From the endorsed applications, candidates will be selected by QTF based on program criteria.
• Participants can only attend this program once.

Please Note: the workshop program has a maximum capacity of 14 participants.
