The skies looked threatening early, but the predicted downpour held off for another enthralling day of play at the Junior State Championships at Whites Hill Sports Complex in Brisbane.
The semi-finalists have been decided for tomorrow, and the battle for champion region remains tight after some close results today.
In the Under 12 Girls, the undefeated Cobras will play the Swans in the first semi-final, while the Sharks will take on the Bulls for the other place in the grand final.
The final placings are exactly the same in the Under 12 Boys, the Cobras again going through undefeated to face the Swans in the first semi-final, while the Bulls and Sharks will also play in the second semi-final.
The host region again found themselves on top of the ladder in the Under 14 Girls division after three big wins on Day 2, and will play the Bulls in the first final. The Swans and Sharks will play in the second semi-final, finishing second and third respectively.
The Bulls will head into the final day as firm favourites in the Under 14 Boys, winning all five round games to take their place in the semi-final against the Swans. The Sharks and Cobras will battle for the second spot in the grand final.
The Bulls finished undefeated and outright leaders in both Under 16 divisions and will be the teams to beat.
Semi-finals begin at 8.30am, followed by grand finals from 10.40am.
