The Festival of Touch 2025 has wrapped up in spectacular fashion, cementing its place as Queensland Touch Football’s premier celebration of the sport, culture, and community. Over 10 incredible days, the Gold Coast played host to five major events, delivering everything you love about touch football – and more.

Queensland State Cup
- 134 TEAMS – the biggest QLD State Cup to date

Queensland Touch Football Conference
- 44% increase in attendees
- The largest conference in history
- Affiliates, schools, and key stakeholders came together to learn, grow, and connect
Queensland Touch Football Awards
- 341 attendees
- Recognising excellence and celebrating a massive year in style
- Three new inductees added to the Hall of Fame, bringing the total to 12 legends of the game
SEQ Schools Beach Gala Day
- 61 school teams enjoying fast-paced 4-aside touch
- NRL and Surf Life Saving activations

Six Years of Growth and Impact
Since its inception in 2020, the Festival of Touch has evolved from a bold idea into a cornerstone event for Queensland Touch Football. Despite challenges like COVID and extreme weather, the festival has grown year-on-year, delivering bigger competitions, stronger community engagement, and broader reach.
From 66% of attendees traveling from outside the region in 2022 to record-breaking team numbers in 2023 and 2024, the Festival has become a true showcase of resilience, innovation, and passion for the game.
