Queensland Touch Football (QTF) is proud to announce that Tourism Events Queensland has renewed their support of the Queensland State Cup.
The Queensland State Cup is Queensland’s premier senior affiliate competition, which is set to bring over 125 teams and more than 2100 participants from across Queensland and Australia to the Gold Coast across three days at the end of November.
Unfortunately, due to an extreme weather event the 2021 tournament was cancelled. Greg Denny, Queensland Touch Football CEO said, “we are excited and determined to put on the best Queensland State Cup in its four-year history and welcome back teams from across the state and nation to the beautiful Gold Coast”.
“This event attracts some of the best players across the state, delivering a high caliber of competition.
“Positioned on the Gold Coast with its pristine beaches and some of the best theme parks, it the perfect end of year get away with family and friends.” Said Denny.
Tourism and Sports Minister Stirling Hinchliffe said significant sporting events were an investment in the Gold Coast’s visitor economy. “Events bring visitors to Queensland’s iconic destinations and that’s why we’re backing the Queensland State Cup,” Mr. Hinchliffe said.
The Queensland State Cup will be played over Friday 25 – Sunday 27 of November 2022 and is open to all affiliated touch football competitions in Queensland, with invitational allocations provided to interstate and international teams
The event caters for athletes aged 16 and above in male, female and mixed divisions and will once again include The Fit Lab Inclusive Division.
