Queensland Touch Football recently undertook a review of ball sizing nationally. The following table summarises ball sizes from across the country. Currently, Queensland remain the only State that introduces the Size 5 Senior ball at 12 years divisions.
At the 2020 National Youth Championship, TFA introduced the smaller, Size 4, Junior ball to the Queensland 12s teams. In addition to the reduction in left-hand roll ball errors, one of the most noticeable skill improvements was in the passing length of the 12’s Division.
