Queensland Touch Football (QTF) is proud to be supporting women in sport through its Women In Touch initiative.
Women is Touch is a QTF initiative, funded through the Queensland Government’s #ActiveKIT program, in collaboration with Health and Wellbeing Queensland.
The program is targeted at women who have become less active or who wish to become more active, who are motivated by the community and thrive with like-minded people. As the weather begins to warm up, and the touch football summer season is in full swing, QTF is looking for individuals to join one of the seven upcoming programs and also calling on affiliates wishing to host their own programs.
QTF Game Development Officer Katie Geiger encouraged the community to get involved with the Women in Touch program.
“Ladies play such a huge role in touch football, and so many times we don’t get to experience the game itself,” Geiger said.
“The Women In Touch program brings so many like minded women together to create that team atmosphere.
“Every program we have helped to deliver so far has come away with great results and so much interaction from the broader community.
“It’s easy to register and if you can’t find a program near you, why not jump in and run one yourself!
“We can supply you with everything you need and help out wherever required,” she said.
