Queensland Touch Football (QTF) is excited to announce the Coaches & Assistant Coaches that will lead Queensland teams into battle against New South Wales for the 2025 State of Origin Series.

QTF CEO, Greg Denny is excited that the State of Origin Touch Football will be back again in 2025, after the previous 2022 series nail-biter that went down to the last round of game.

“In the last campaign Queensland was pipped at the post going down to NSW by one. Queensland has assembled a coaching team with a good blend of experience and youth, all keen to pull on the mighty Maroon to deliver a successful SOO campaign in 2025. And on the back of much World Cup success, it’s game on for the Queenslanders in 2025 State of Origin.”

Queensland Men’s Open Coach, Jason Boyd is back to defend the Men’s Open title, which has been held for the past two SSO series.

“It’s an honour to be named the Queensland Men’s Open State of Origin Coach and to lead such a talented group of athletes, especially as we aim to defend our title for the third consecutive series. I know that coaches and players alike are eager for this competition, as there is no greater rivalry in Australia than that between Queensland and New South Wales.

This campaign brings fresh faces to the QLD coaching team, and I’m confident that their energy, perspective, and passion will be invaluable to our efforts. We’re all excited to put in the hard work and proudly represent Queensland in the 2025 State of Origin.”

Team Managers will be finalised in due course and will join the Queensland Tour Management to assist in the smooth operations of the lead in selection camps, training camps and tour.

Expressions of Interest for players for the 2025 State of Origin Series across the 18 Divisions are open now at https://qldtouch.com.au/state-of-origin-2025/. Squads will be finalised following the 2024 Qld State Cup to attend Qld SOO Selection Camps in January & February 2025.

The 2025 State of Origin will be hosted by New South Wales Touch Football with the dates and venue to be announced soon.
