The countdown is officially on. Queensland Touch Football (QTF) is thrilled to announce that team nominations for the 2025 QLD State Cup are now open, marking the first major milestone in the lead-up to the highly anticipated Festival of Touch, returning to the Gold Coast from 28 November to 7 December 2025.
Proudly supported by Experience Gold Coast, the Festival of Touch is more than just a sporting event—it’s a 10-day celebration of community, culture, and connection through touch football in our state. From premier competition to grassroots school sport, the Festival brings together five flagship events that showcase the diversity and spirit of our sport:
- QLD State Cup (28–30 Nov, Coomera Sports Park)
- QTF Conference (1 Dec, RACV Royal Pines Resort)
- QTF Awards Night (1 Dec, RACV Royal Pines Resort)
- SEQ Schools Beach Gala Day (4 Dec, North Kirra Beach)
- QLD All Nations (6–7 Dec, Coomera Sports Park)
The QLD State Cup is the Festival’s opening act and its largest competitive event, drawing teams from every corner of the state. With team and referee nominations now open, affiliates and regions are encouraged to rally their players, coaches, and officials to be part of this premier showcase of Queensland talent.
In addition to the State Cup, the Festival offers opportunities for learning, recognition, and cultural celebration. The QTF Conference will feature leading voices in sport and leadership, while the QTF Awards Night will honour the game’s most inspiring contributors. The SEQ Schools Beach Gala Day and much-loved QLD All Nations events will close out the festival, inviting new participants and communities to experience the joy of touch football.
