As you may be aware there has been a significant amount of rain that has saturated the southeast region of Queensland. To provide you with an update, QTF has been in frequent communication with facility staff in regard to the condition of the fields and its venues to ensure the safety of our players and staff. We have also conducted regular site checks as safety is our number one priority.
The BLK Performance Centre’s Swimming Pool did overflow this afternoon which resulted in minor flooding of the Gymnasium. This has been rectified and QTF has been advised by the on-site Q Youth Academy organiser that it poses no risk at this time. While the BOM forecast is still suggesting a 50-60% chance of rain, Friday and Saturday look great and the expectation is between 0-8mm and clearing.
Given what we can expect over the weekend and the advice provided from the ground staff the Camp is a go!
