ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Queensland Touch Football ‘Women Leaders in Touch Football’ program is funded by the Australian Sports Commission, Women Leaders in Sport Grant and gives Queensland Touch Football (QTF) the opportunity to support participants who wish to advance their leadership capabilities within their local affiliate, regional or state body.

The program will consist of a select number of females from across the state and is a 5-week program that includes a face-to-face workshop and five (5) online sessions.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVE

  • To encourage, support and enable females in leadership roles across the sport of Touch Football.
  • Attract, develop and retain women within leadership positions in sport, and create a supportive environment in which everyone is valued and can thrive.

 

PROGRAM INFORMATION

Women from across Queensland will take part in one (1) face to face session and four (6) online sessions, focusing on leadership, development, capabilities, and principles and creating positive cultures. Leading facilitator, Sue Cormack, will host the sessions over a five-week period, covering topics such as leading self, working in and with teams and courage in leadership. Sue has worked in Sport and Recreation for 30+ years and is a Consultant in Leadership, Strategy & Organisational Development.

Tuesday, 6 June 2023 – Online (6-7:45pm)

ELIGIBILITY

Members are eligible to apply as a participant if they meet the following criteria:

  • Be minimum of 18 years of age at the time of the program;
  • Be a current financial member of a Queensland Touch Football or a current employee or board member of a state, regional or affiliate body;
  • Hold a ‘Working with Children’ Blue Card or Exemption Card;
  • Have demonstrated an eagerness to provide leadership within their touch football environment;
  • Demonstrate positive behaviours and an alignment to Queensland Touch Football’s values
  • Provide a letter of endorsement to undertake the program from Affiliate/ Region/ Board/ Committee

 

COST

Thanks to the Australian Sports Commission, Women Leaders in Sport Grant, there is no cost for selected participants in the 2023 QTF Women Leaders in Touch Football program.
