Queensland Unveils Team Coach and Management Line-Up for 2027 State of Origin Campaign

Queensland Touch Football (QTF) is excited to announce the Coaching Staff that will lead Queensland teams into battle against New South Wales for the 2027 State of Origin Series.

Performance and Pathways Manager Tristan Mana has described the 2027 Queensland State of Origin coaching lineup as the strongest assembled as we return to Queensland for the first time since the 2018 series in Redcliffe.

“The calibre of coaches appointed across all 19 Queensland teams is unmatched in recent times,” Mana said. “From our head coaches through to our assistant coaches and team management, the depth of experience, leadership and success is extraordinary.”

“Many of our assistant coaches have the credentials and capability to lead programs in their own right, which highlights the strength of the group we have brought together.”

“Our Performance divisions are led by some of the most respected coaches in Queensland Touch Football, supported by a talented group of assistants who have delivered success on both national and international stages.”

“Coming off a series that was drawn, where Queensland ultimately won more games across the campaign, this appointment process demonstrates our commitment to continuous improvement and sustained excellence.”

“The 2027 State of Origin, on home soil in Queensland, is shaping as a campaign that will redefine elite touch football and establish a new benchmark for the modern era leading into the 2028 World Cup in New Zealand.”

Expressions of Interest for Queensland eligible players for the 2027 State of Origin Series across the 19 Divisions are open;
