16 September 2021

On Monday morning, Queensland Touch and Major Events Gold Coast (MEGC) came together to celebrate our partnership. This will see the Festival of Touch at the Gold Coast for the next three years.

The Festival of Touch concept was originally created to invigorate, inspire and connect the touch football community in the wake of COVID-19 disruptions.

The first year was a huge success, attracting over 4000 participants, 10,000 spectators, and 900 administrators to the Gold Coast.

Mainstream media attended the call to discuss the festival with Gold Coast Mayor, Tom Tate, MEGC CEO, Jan McCormick, and more.
This partnership is a huge win for our sport and the start of a beautiful friendship!
