Dear Members & Stakeholders,
Queensland Touch Football (QTF) wishes to advise members and stakeholders of an important change to the QTF Annual Membership Fee, effective 1 July 2026.
The annual membership will increase from $30 to $35 (inclusive of GST). This increase will continue to support participation opportunities, ongoing development and growth of our sport across the state, as it has done since its introduction in 2024. The adjustment ensures the ongoing sustainability of Touch Football in Queensland amid rising operational costs.
Why this change is being made
With the rising cost of living and increasing economic and operational pressures directly impacting the delivery of our sport, it is important that we strengthen our financial position to support long-term sustainability. This will enable us to continue growing grassroots participation and providing touch football opportunities across all levels of the game.
Key factors contributing to this decision include:
- Strengthening grassroots participation and ensure sustainability
- Addressing rising costs associated with service delivery, development, programs, and events
- Managing ongoing increases operational expenses
- Supporting the future growth and development of the sport
What this means
The $5 increase will assist QTF to:
- Maintain and improve service delivery across the state
- Continue to support competitions, pathways, and participation growth
- Invest in the long-term sustainability of the sport in Queensland
Effective date
The new QTF membership fee of $35 including GST will apply to all registrations from 1 July 2026.
QTF appreciates the ongoing support of our members and the broader Touch Football community. This decision has not been made lightly and is an important step in ensuring the continued strength and sustainability of our game.
