From a rugby union bagkground, Kahu moved to Australia to attend Keebra Park High School, He played for Brisbane Broncos NYC in 2010 & 2011, but suffered season-ending knee injuries in 2011 & 2012.

Kahu made his first-grade debut in 2013 against Melbourne Storm, but suffered another knee injury in the 2014 pre-season, restricting him to just three appearances.

He really established himself as the “Mr Fix-It” of the Broncos back-line and was rewarded with selection for the England tour.

In 35 appearances, Kahu has scored 16 tries and kicked 22 goals.

He made his Kiwis debut on the 2015 tour of England, played at centre in all three tests, before reverting to fullback for the 2016 Downer Test against Australia.
